Douglas Edward Vanlerberg

VANLERBERG, Douglas Edward passed away at Parkview Place, Enderby, BC on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the age of 86 years.

Doug was born in Fernie, BC on April 9, 1926. He had been a resident of the Armstrong and Enderby area since 1970. Doug was a real cowboy in his younger days. He loved riding the mountains in the Fernie area; whether chasing cattle or hunting. He spent most of his working life driving truck and running a feed lot or haying. During the last year of his life at Parkview Place, he was very happy. He also really enjoyed the weekend drives and picnics with his wife and friends.

Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lorna; daughter Wilma Vanlerberg, step daughter Sharlene Wallis; step son Sean Orom, and sons Robert Vanlerberg and John Vanlerberg. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial reception will be held at the residence of Larry and Sharlene Wallis, #20 Watershed Road, Ashton Creek on Saturday, June 23rd at 2:00 pm.
